Welcome To Red Bank Surgery
The practice is an old established family practice, run for many years by Dr Steven Turner and Dr David Jones from three different sites. In 1966 they opened the purpose-built surgery at Ashton Gardens, working alongside another practitioner Dr Hancock and also from a traditional style branch surgery on the side of Dr Jones' own home on Lytham Road. Dr Gillian Elder joined the two doctors in 1976, and when Dr Hancock retired in 1986 his patient list was taken over by The Red Bank Practice. That same year Dr Julia James joined as a partner.
In 1993 the premises were extensively refurbished and in May of 1994 the branch surgery moved to the premises at Brecon Lane. Shortly after this Dr Turner retired and his place in the practice was taken by Dr David Raymond in July 1995.
Dr Simon Read is the latest doctor to join the practice on the retirement of Dr Jones in April 1998.
